OUR HISTORY

The history of our company can be identified in the person of Odoardo Amoretti, the founder of the group which bears his name.

Still an adolescent, he started working as an employee in his family's small road-transport company. In the early sixties he built two depots for oil products, and with his first three river barges he organized an efficient distribution system, becoming a preferential partner for large international oil companies.

Under his guidance, the company’s horizon widened; the turning point came when a river barge, adequately modified, was chartered to an oil major for service in the Adriatic Sea.

Expanding the fleet became his objective, and by the end of the eighties when the first signs of a change in attitude regarding environmental protection and pollution prevention began to emerge  Odoardo Amoretti was one of the first to design and build double-hull tankers

Later, he extended his activity to the whole world, and still today he is projected towards the future.
